statement
Working across moving image, live events, collaborative processes and writing, my practice explores the role of fiction as an unruly technology within contemporary society. Based around sustained research projects examining the reverberations of socially told narratives, the works in turn tell stories of seemingly anomalous phenomena, eerie agency and strange turns, looking to the fringes and the far out to better understand the centre. These might be the myths enmeshed in supposedly national landscapes, the ghosts which haunt our personal technologies, or the waking dream space of the internet, its hysterias and anxieties, folklore and fauna.
